TB spacer got me skunked
Hey guys, just registered on HCF. I love this site!!! O.k. down to business. Today i installed an OBX throttle body spacer. everything went fine til i put the throttle cable back on. I adjusted it to the same tension as stock, but when i started the car, it idled at almost 4000 rpm!!! tried messing with it but nothing worked. Anyone have any ideas.
P.S.-i took the spacer of it idled fine

Were you able to lengthen the cable the exact same amount as the height of the throttle body spacer? (Let's say the throttle body spacer is 1 inch in height, that means there would be 1 inch less cable, which would make your engine rev high.)

You have two cables to adjust...cruise AND throttle. Make sure you can "play" with the throttle cable and hear the gas pedal hit the firewall when you wiggle the cable. If you can't - cable is short, if you can't - make sure both cables have enough slack, than pop the hood and have someone start the car...look at the cables and post back
