Default tool question O2 sensor

For those of you that have done this yourself. My car has the motor with the catalytic converter as part of the header. My car is telling me something is wrong with my emissions, and I have elected to replace the oxygen sensors before replacing the entire catalytic converter and header.

Is it worth while buying the slotted socket for this sensor, or can I just go with a 22mm wrench? The car has 100,000 new england miles on it and it is a 96, so I am expecting it to put up a bit of a fight when I try to remove the sensor.

They do look kind of difficult to reach.

Cheers,

CAW

Yeah, it's worth it. Those things are mean.

Make sure you warm the car up to 'normal operating temperature' before you try to get it out.
