I want to get a V2 CAI but i went to the website and it says for manual transmission only. aren't the auto and manual for the DX the same? i don't see what it has to do with the transmission. isn't it just getting outside (cooler) air into the throttle body?

NO. there's plenty of threads on this already. it will not fit. The intake bolts to your transmission, believe it or not.
