is there much standing water? the puddles covering the filter is the problem. if theres not puddles, it shouldnt be a problem.

yeah mostly you just need to watch out for flooding, especially if your car is lowered and the intake is close to the ground.

I have an Injen. It is one of the best intakes on the market... All you really need to go by is looks.... All there is, is a filter and a tube... just plain and simple.. there is no need to charge 300 dollars for an intake and a filter .. they all do the same thing anyway!

dynos prove that the v2 outperforms the standard AEM CAI, and the AEM is known to outperform most others out there. so its not just a filter and pipe.

After a couple days I'm back with more info. I installed the Injen RD1550 CAI and man is it sweet. I know you guys like the AEM V2 but this thing is a great alternative. The install was not that easy depending on your experience but taking the front bumper off is a must. The directions say to use the stock hose clamps but that won't work. They are too small and you will have to buy something bigger. That is my only complaint. The Pros: awesome sound, looks great, and added help from 3 to 5 rpms(you can tell the VTEC pulls harder). IF the V2 is not an option Injen has made a great product.

I just want to know, is there anybody that has a V2 installed because I have a SRI right now and I'm thinking of getting the V2. Is there a big difference? Does it matter if the V2 doesn't have a dry climate because I live in Ottawa where it goes from -40 to +40 and rain etc...?

I have the V2 in my 04 Honda Civic Si. I love the sound it produces. The clips on the AEM Website is what my car sounds like and i don't have an exhaust yet. Thats my next venture. I think the V2 is worth it. About it being wet, it hasn't bothered me and ilive in the Pocono's in PA and the weather here can be far from nice. If you have any other questions let me know.
