anyone know the true quality of these? i dont personally know of any one with them. i have the y7 so either one would be an upgrade but i was just gathering others opinions.

 

venom is an awsome intake mostly for forced induction and the skunk 2 is a nice cheaper price but does have some flaws in they make some weird noise, just ask pete about his skunk 2 manifold experiece

 

i bought the skunk2 and ended up returning it.. you have to have components from the Y8 intake manifold sensors etc.. to be able to bolt it onto a Y7.. i have no expert opinion but i would say if you have to waste time getting stuff from a Y8 manifold just get one of these from a junkyard cheap and bolt it on.. you will get a gain from what several people have stated.. and wont cost over 200 bucks for it..see them on ebay all the time for 50-70 bucks with sensors and all.. and Venom is super high cost.. for that much of a pricetag it better be adding some serious power..

 

yeah Venom is like 500-600 bucks, personally I think spend the money on the S2 and use the other 300-400 you would have spent on the Venom on other engine upgrades.

Ive had a skunk2 on my Z6 and now on my d15z. never had problem with it, no weird noise, i like it

 

mine made noise because i installed a hondata intake mani gasket and its thicker, so the IACV was hitting the manifold when the motor moved in the mounts....a got a dremmel and its all fixed now.

 

so are you back to running the skunk2 pete?
