voiding warranty

Default voiding warranty

i have 07 civic ex. if i install a cold air intake does that void the honda factory warranty?

usually not but it depnds on your insurance company. Check with them.

voiding the warranty from the honda for the engine. i have a bumber to bumber warranty on a new car. if i put an intake in the engine will that void that warranty?

this was recently discussed on another thread, somebody said if you have professional install it and have proof they instaleld it and oyu didnt (maybe a receipt) then it will probably not void it, alhtough i doubt it would voit it anyway

no it will not void your warranty. they can only void that part if it fails. if anything else on the car fails they have to fix it.

intake fails and it sucks something into the engine, they are not responsible for anything that the air from the malfunctioned, modified intake flows through... in other words, suck something in, it wrecks tb, wrecks air intake, wrecks engine...

honda = not responsible as the part in question isn't theirs, and was installed by someone else...

factory intake, honda = responsible, as it's their design and installation...

you might not think something as simple as an intake voids your warranty, but in all likeliness, if something goes wrong as a result of it, honda won't cover it

Simple... if your car has any kind of problems, put your stock airbox back on before you get it looked at...
