What after I/H/E?

What after I/H/E?
after intake header and exhaust are done, what would be another performance mod other than a turbo or engine swap?
and would the performance gains be worth the cost on an LX model?

As far as I know, nothing... do a motor swap thats my next step I think the d's are pretty much maxed with I/H/E
Ninja Edit: I could be wrong on this so dont hold me to it I think it really breaks down to cost vs power... I have seen lots of cool stuff on d-series.org though but it takes some serious investment

Mini-me swap (z6 or y8 head; I believe the y8 flows slightly better), port/polish the head while you're at it, throw in a stage II cam or so, upgraded valvetrain, high-compression pistons, and have it dyno tuned. With that setup, you'll have a fairly potent naturally-aspirated engine for a single-cam.

Wrong. Intake manifold, head swap, port and polish, valve job, bigger cam, stronger valvetrain (most big cams make power above the stock valvetrain's safe rpm limit), higher compression. Are you telling me those aren't going to do anything for power?
