What is a good header brand???
yes
why would you want to do that?
to answer your question, we need to know your year/trim level.

Bisi. But they are like $1800.
I have had DC sports and then bought a meagan racing one and will be putting a DC back on my car after the build is done.
I had nothing but problems with the meagan racing one and I know about 5 other people that have. Our major problem was the welds and it leaked like real bad. No matter what you did to try and fix it, it would come back in 2 days.
I would say DC sports unless you are on a tight budget.

what brand header are you getting from ebay?
Then no, it will not eliminate the cat. This is a good thing.
This is probably the only bad review I have ever heard of the Megan Racing header, and I have heard hundreds of good vouches on the product, and having a pleasant personal experience with it.
And where is the leak you were talking about happening? The midway flange?
He's talking about Megan Racing.

yea the megan racing one. i also read only good reviews on this product and thats 1 reason why i chose this product.other reason was because of price. another question probably regarding this. i changed the exhaust from the catback (stock from my sisters 93 auto lx) but it ended up not fitting. it was too short. i had to cut it in half and add a cheap extension probably like 3 inches short. when i bought the car the kid said he did a motor swap but not sure from what car. how do i find out and can this be the reason for the short exhaust?
i had a 96 del sol that I put DC ceramic headers on... quality was pretty good but finish did not hold up over a year...
later I got a tacoma and put pacesetter headers on it which were painted black... after about 30 miles I realized it was not high temp paint and all burned off.... looked like complete garbage... but they worked.
Then I had a 98 civic ex and got pacesetters again w/ armorcoat... beautiful finish and in the 11 months that I drove it, they were great..
one complaint w/ the second set of pacesetter ones is that they did not come w/ an extension for the 02 sensor... any my soldering is crap, but it worked.
I'm much more a fan of 4-2-1 2 piece headers as they are much easier to install...
people will write long essays and start wars over the differences between 4-1 and 4-2-1... seriously, this is more about making the engine look and sound cool than it is about going fast.... sure they'll add a few hp... but differences are very minimal.. people that argue these points need to move out of their mother's basements and get real jobs. (sorry if I inadvertently took a shot at someone there)
I heard that DC was going out of business and all of their engineers went to Strup... but that was 8 months ago and DC headers are still out there..

And honestly, the 4-1 is just as easy to install as the 4-2-1. It's harder to install the 2-piece when it's in 2-pieces than it is to install in one piece. I actually prefer to put the 2-piece together outside of the car and then raise it in from underneath. That way it is much easier to torque the midway flange bolts well.
I heard that APC owns DC Sports now. You know, the company that makes the ugly *** (and cheap, at that) pedals and shift ***** you see at the auto parts store.
