technically, there is no set line of a voided warranty and an active one. if they can show how the aftermarket part caused a failure, then they can make you pay for it, but if you put on an exhaust, then they cant get away with saying that is the reason your strut is blown out.

usually if you do anything electrical to it.

anything not lisenced by Honda. it also has to be profesionally installed

IE you can put nismo parts on a 350Z and it wont void the warrenty if you get a certified mechanic to install it. but if you put a greddy exhaust on it it will void the warrenty. also if you put some nismo part on but you do it it voids the warreny

go look up the Magnusson-Moss act. it specificlly says that the part in question has to be directly related to the failure.
