i beg to differ slightly. a tube is a tube, but the quality of the tube matters sometimes.

youre gonna get some better quality construction with a name brand but they all do the same thing (suck in air).

i chose to buy an Injen because I actually like my car enough to buy some nice stuff for it. others might say go cheapskate and save some jack.

it's your money. do what you want with it.

I did.

BTW, look how SHINEY my Injen is... lol.

yeah, an ebay intake will do the job, but the biggest difference is that you WILL get more power out of most name brands. I guarantee im getting more out of my v2 than anyone is out of their generic. Maybe not enough to justify the extra money to you, but hearing the way they sound plus knowing i was getting a few more hp was enough for me. It's up to you.

like many others have said before, when u pay for name brands such as AEM, DC, Greddy, etc...ur paying for their efforts in testing and development. u pay that extra $50-100+ for the best quality and most power. intakes from companies on ebay arnt bad, yes its just a tube, but the quality of the tube can be bad and the bends in the tube may not be able to give u as much power as something from a name brand. the gains between name and non-name brands would prolly be hardly noticeable, but its there.
