Use the SEARCH feature at the top, and you'll find plenty of answers.
..in a nut shell tho, A muffler is just the end piece of your Exhaust system. Your Exhuast, is what goes from the exhaust side of the motor, all the way back to the muffler tip. A Cat back starts at your catylitic converter (not including the cat conv) all the way back to the muffler.
