Default 16" 5 Spoke Rims or OEM 15" Si Rims and Suspension

I was wondering what everyone’s opinion about aftermarket rims is. I have stock 14” steelies with hub caps, and I would really like to get 16” rims not really diggin’ the 17” it’s just too much more for tires and such, but 16’s or the OEM Si 15” rims.

Where can I find a good deal with something like these. Like Einkei RS5 or RacingHart RS Evolution ones, those are clean. I would have to get those in 17” but I think it would be worth it. Basically those are 5 spokes and have a center cap that covers the lugs, I think the center caps are a nice touch to wheels.

Basically the style I am looking for is 5 spoke I think it looks clean while not overbearing on the spokesness with ones like rotas or rims with like 9 spokes. I am also not a fan of the 5 split spoke look.

I am also later looking to invest some money into stiffer suspension so the car doesn’t rock back and forth when turning or changing lanes. Also with the whole tires thing factored in that would be helpful, clean but not to expensive and that don’t need to be replaced like every 30,000 miles. So I was wondering the best way and a way that would be acceptable for the money for allowing much better handling with that in mind.

If you could help me out and see if you know best to get something like these I would really appreciate all the help/suggestions that you have.

i really dont know about suspension...im gettin mine off ebay but as far as rims, www.wheelsnext.com has some really good prices on rim & tire packages. the racinghart ones look really good but thats up to you about the 17 or not. 16 is usually what most people prefer just because of the 50 profile and hardly ever any rubbing issues or anything. - i say no on the stock si rims though.

don't get 17's if you're not going to lower it. PLEASE. 15's or 16's look fine, save $ on wheels and tires, buy some springs

what's your overall budget?

I think it would be nice to get 16" and tires for about $600 to $800 but i'm not sure how soon i can do it because i have no job right now and i'm probably not going to get one any time within January. Suspension i can worry about later, i really just need tires, but suspension is just a want, so I’m trying to justify getting a combo deal maybe so I can get both at same time. It would also be nice if they have a warranty on the tires, and rim protection would be nice too.

16's are ideal, perfect balance of ride quality and performance imo. Just make sure you get the correct size tire, don't be dumb like me and run a 40 series (not really my choice, they were on the wheels when I bought 'em)

I have the 16x7 Enkei RS5's and I love them. I just need to pick up some centercaps and new tires for them, can't wait.

Search around the net and I'm sure you can find a nice set with tires for your given price range (probably cheaper).
