Default 20% or 35%

im looking into tints the shop will do it for $100 but i cant decide between the two i want. im leaning more to 35% becuase i want to be able to see clear at night. so whats the better one to go with? also how long of a life do tints usually have? i dont want it peeling and turing purple in like 2 years or so. thanks in advance

well first off as long as the tint looks good when its done and you take car of the tint it should last a long time!
just make sure when ya get it done that they will garente thier work from defects!
i had to have my tint guy redue 4 of 6windows that i had tinted! due to some bubbles/dirt debri and alittle old tint glue that wasnt cleaned off right

mine ran alittle over 200bucks. my only downfall i wish i did was go 5% on all the windows besides drivers/passenger windows!
i went 17% on sunroof, and rear window, and front drivers passenger side windows.
and 5% on the rear side quarters.

i realy thought 5% would be realy dark! BUT now i want 5% all over the rear and sunroof

still looks good but i know i can go darker with no problems!
i had the cheap 5% tint or 2.5% from autozone before but i swear that crap must not be right cause i couldnt see jack at night but with this 5% tint from tint guy i can see thru it with no problems at night!

but main reason mine was so high is the old tint removal. he charged 65bucks to remove the rear window tint SUCKED!!!!! but ive seen alot of cars done by that shop.
ya just gotta preaty much let them know................. IF ITS NOT DONE RIGHT ILL BE BACK! and im not gonna pay any more money!
probably why he did agood job the second time... he didnt want to see me again and loose his time and any more money.LMFAO my bubbles and crap came up about a week after it was tinted. funny thing was the windows that go up and down those windows where perfect!

Damn, I went pricing for my 02 coupe, 5 windows at 35%, and they want $260!! I know a buddy who lives downstate NY near the city (which I thought would be higher) and he only paid $195 for lazer cut/install.... damn small town joints ripping me off!

I have my whole car at 20% and I got it from a small town in southeast idaho for less than 200 and it looks PERFECT and has been great for 2 years now... I do wish i would have done the back windows darker but at night I can see fine out of my windows... it took a little bit to get used to, though

ya i i dont no the percent, i have limo tint in the back and the one up from it in the front, at night you cant see out the back unless theres lights around

..ONLY go to shops that give you life time warrinty on peeling, bubbling and discoloring
