Not to be an *******, which trust me I am, but i would suggest buying at least a 88-91 shell and then putting a motor in it. 1983 is out of date brother.

i don't know what yall are thinking about but if you see an 83 hatchback but hear a b18 dohc v-tech with twin turbo what would you do race or run the original weight of my car is only 1800 lbs and i know i can strip at least 300 just on the interior my body mods will be extreamly light also, changing mostly sheetmetal to handcrafted fiberglass while still mantaining the structural integrity of the car, hell i might even think of a wrx sti conversion i think that the people that have replyed need to think from my perspective because when i finally do get done you wont here the new engine because the exaust that i design will disguise any recognizable references to the modified engine swap and then all you will see is my tail lights as i go down the track

That could of been the dumbest thing I've ever seen/read/heard/experienced in my entire life.

I only have one question.... Do you honestly believe that sh*t that just came out of you're mouth?

if i heard a b18 wit vtech and twin turbos......hmmmn i guess i would run under the hood and answer the phone, and hopefully it has enough range to be able to reach the home base unit so i can make a call. but as far as modding the 83 i say go for it. it is by far lighter than its newer brothers. ive seen the brown top zc installed in them b4 so im sure u could get a b18 in there as long as your capable of fabricating and wiring up the car for FI.
