Default 92-95 lip kit

Ok, so I just got my 94 ex coupe from my buddy and he gave me a spoon lip kit with it. Here's my delimma, the front went on great...I got to the rear and it lines up great when I set it up to the bumper and above the muffler, but when I went around to the wheel well to screw it in, it was 2-3" too long and hit the tires. Is the sedan bumper a bit longer than the coupe? I thought it was only the front bumper that was different. It's got me confused, because if he bought them together then why would one fit and not the other? Anyone have any ideas? Thanks.

the sedan and coupe rears are the same. Maybe you have a hatch lip? I know the rear on hatches is different than 2/4 doors.

Yeah I thought hatch at first, but there was one in the parking lot at work today, and its a lot shorter. So it's got me pretty confused. I do think if I spent a little time I could probably shorten it and re-trim in to match the flare around the wheel well. I might just end up trying that, probably wait to put them on though until I paint it if thats the case. Front bumper is a little faded anyway, so when that lip was on there it was real obvious. Thanks.
