96 Civic Shift Boot replacement question
I have a center console with no armrest, and it looks like I could just pry and pop the plastic piece covering the boot and cupholders off, yet everywhere I see people saying you have to remove all of the screws and pull the entire center console out. So does that piece pop off?
If you're confused I'll add pictures.

You have to pull 6 screws from the shifter piece, plus an additional 2 from the (no)armrest piece.

Thanks for the link, that helped. Upon initial inspection, it looked like I could just pry off the piece covering the shifter and cupholder, hence my question, but at the correct angle in those pictures I could see that it's actually one piece
