Default 99-00 Headlights in 96-98

I have heard that doing this requires modification? I have tried finding info on it but seem to be at a loss. Whats involved and is there a writeup on this? How easy is it to get them to fit?

Thanks

first off... why?

99-00 Civics are different because the grille is longer than 96-98s, the bumper is different, hood is different, fenders are different. Basically it'd involve switching the entire front clip.

and lastly... why?

happy sac? I was distracted when i typed that.

yeah, i agree. the 99+ front end looks so much better than the 96-98. just make sure you get it all painted to match. stay away from the ricey electron blue front end on your 96-98. looks worse than any stock front.

If you want the 99-00 front end you might as well just sell your 96-98 for a 99-00. Just my opinion. if you go ahead with it, good luck!

thats like saying "if you want a faster quarter mile time, sell your car and buy a mustang gt" ive poured my heart and soul into my car. i dont plan on selling it for a long time. we do stuff like this to make our cars a little different. not just to have "those headlights" or "that much power" your car should be a reflection of your tastes. if we were trying to do everything the easy way, we would just save up and get someone elses modded car, instead of picking and choosing every mod and part ourselves. some choices dont turn out the way we want them to, but then we just go back and do it again, better.

[sm=smiley20.gif] modding is just that..modding. You could always buy a bigger, faster, more expensive car but it'll be just like every other car like it. If you want 99 headlight's it'll be a lot less than buying a 99.
