is there anyway to remove these and replace, they are really bothering me...

 

Door guards? You mean the side moldings?

 

I think he's talking about the rubber tube looking things that run along the edge of the door so if you hit something with them just bounce off?

I don't see why you couldn't pull them off. If there's glue left on there after you take them off just use some goo remover or rubbing alcohol. Should be a pretty easy thing to do.

 

if its the same thing im thinking about, the black (usually) plastic piece that runs along the side, theres a couple bolts on the inside of your door that you have to take off also, there easy to find and you DONT have to take your door panel off, there right on the edge of the door..but if you take it off theres a couple of square holes under them, were the plastic clips hold the trim to the door, soo i dont think you want to see holes on the side of your car, unless your planning to do body work...

 

I know exactly what you are talking about they come painted on 96+ ex models but not pre 96 i plan on taking mine off painting them and then puttin them back on.
