Ive got me a 95 that i keep parked outside... no shelter garage or car covers. i noticed when i was washin it one day that the paint on the hood and parts of the front bumper were chipping off. i figured it was from road debris dirt or something that was hittin the front end. They arent big scratches just like little figernail chips or something idk... what u wanna call it. Ive heard that other people have had problems with honda paint and i would like to know a good solution for this

 

well as far as i know there is no solution, you could put an ugly bra on it but those scratch off paint as well so they don't really help. but i got the same thing but probably worse, its from crap hitting your hood while your driving behind people.

 

Yea its pretty much permenant... nothin i can do now just knowing how to prevent it next time would be nice

 

it's usually not the honda paint, it's a mix between being nearly two decades old or if it's an aftermarket bumper that's been repainted previously.

 

well remember paint doesnt last forever... PLUS the bumpers are plastic.... they flex alot. they just go bad over time..... depending on the driving condition and how much it sits out in the sun.

the more its parked in the shade the better the condition of the paint.....

 

yea. its not just on the bumper its on the lower part of the hood too.
