A simple answer would suffice, not these responses.

To the OP, of those two choices, I have to go with number 1, just be sure to do a good job on the bumper grille meshes and paint them black to hide the front subframe.

Wink More for you to know about my question

OK OK i get it guys. now let me tell you the reason i am even considering a bodykit, cause i know the stock drop looks great. that is what i was going for untill i found out this....

I am doing and 01 to 04-05 front end swap.

a new bumper and rear bumper cost $230 + tax a piece.

a new body kit cost 400 plus s/h + tax.

so why not get a body kit.

ok ok another thing... if you know of another better looking body kit. IM UP FOR SUGGESTIONS. <-----(spelling?)* idk ... anyway post the pics of the better looking ones. id love to see more, and where to buy them from.

plz KEEP THE COMMENTS COMING, and thanks for your help guys!!!

Because the $400 body kit will be made of cheap thin fiberglass that has a bad tendency of cracking and/or shattering upon slight impacts. I had a fiberglass body kit back in the day... never again. Also, the $230 oem bumpers are going to be made of a form of plastic, most likely polyurethane, which is d**m near indestructible. A polyurethane body kit is usually in the $900+ range.

Personally, if I were to suggest a body kit, about the only one I could really suggest for you is the Buddy Club 2 kit:

Adding my two cents...

I'd go for your "body kit 1" or the Buddy Club one. The BC2 DEFINITELY looks good, and they make them for pretty much any Civic. I dunno where to buy though. Do a google search and see what comes up, then compare prices.

I'm sure the BC2 kit comes for the 04/05's. Check Extreme Dimensions to see if they do. Also, check ProCivic and AeroTrends for the kit. I can say from experience AeroTrends is pretty good... it took them about 4 days to ship my old kit from Florida to Pennsylvania.
