^ lol, yes, it's called prep work, it's how you paint anything really. If there is any oil debris or brake dust, it won't stick properly. But if it's perfectly clean, then it will stick very well. And make sure you do it where it is rather warm (i.e. in the sun or a heated building) or else the paint job will suck.
