A/C lights won't cut on
Hey, I've been trying to change my a/c lights in my '98 civic. After taking out my a/c unit I found there were 2 bulbs that lit it up. I took them out, took the little blue covers off the bulbs and painted them red and put them back in. I hooked everything up again but when I turn my lights on, they won't light up. The a/c works, and the lights for depressing the buttons work, just not the 2 bulbs.
When I did my gauges I used new bulbs and painted those red and it worked fine. But for the a/c I used the origional bulbs. Could that be my problem? Also, I checked the fuses and they were fine. I know there are some smart people here who could help me out.
