Is CF legal to have in California? Just wondering cause I plan on adding an aftermarket CF Rear Bumper, and don't want to get harassed too much because of it in case.

Have aftermarket CF Hood for awhile, so far been pulled over a lot but 5-0 ignored it and let me go.

If it's illegal, I am going to stay away until I get the CF painted, then install... too much mods to risk it.

Im not from Cali but I doubt it's illegal. Bumpers are just covers. Fenders are just covers. Hoods are just covers. The real crash protection comes from the frame design.

 

Contact local authorities if you are not sure. I can't see how it is illegal.

 

it being illegal would make most lamborgini's illegal as many of them come with cf body panels from the factory...

 

Yeah. I doubt it's illegal. got pulled over again today. They didn't seem to care 'bout my cf hood. I was puzzled cause I get different answers from different people. I'll ask the local authority to make sure.
