So i recently picked up a gauge cluster for my car (plug n play) and i just wanted to know if anyone knew how to change the Miles on it to the match the one thats already in my car.

I saw this DIY but i didnt show you how to tweak the miles to whatever your car miles already has, if anyone knows how it be great thanks.

you can swap out the whole speedo gauge its self, take the cluster out and unscrw the cover off then unsrew the speedo gauge and put it in the other cluster,

I can tell you how to do it (I had to do it because my speedo failed), but it would be 10X easier if you just swapped the speedos.

trustdestuction, can you give me a step by step instruction on how to?

So far from looking at it these is how i see to do it:

1st remove the plastic cover from the cluster.
then remove the black casing inside from the cluster.
afterwards remove the screws?
(then im lost)

See the four screw holes on the cluster housing arranged in a square behind where the speedo was? Remove those. They're on the back. Don't mess with the screws on the front of the gauge.

The front of the gauge cluster, the plastic shield, comes off by unscrewing a few screws and then popping some clips. Try not to break the clips.

okay right, exactly what i was thinking. well i was tampering with it a few minutes ago and i was able to remove the clips on the plastic shield

along with the 4 on top.

Only problem i had was removing the black clips that actually hold the cluster intact.
