Changing Gauge Cluster Miles

You gotta push the clip tabs down inside of their slots and the pull the cluster apart while holding down the tabs down.

exactly like the plastic shield ones, yup i did it. as soon as i attempted it with the black clips there were these two plastic things poking out (here is one of them along the top just poking out and there is one on the other side too)

that seemed to be getting caught on it. do i need to unscrw something like you said?

Well on my cluster there's a metal bracket, for attaching the cluster to the dash, that has to be removed first. maybe you have something like that too?

nope all plastic, but this gauge cluster im tampering with isn't in the car yet im just trying to remove both the plastic shield and the actual black housing. maybe im not pulling hard, then again i dont want to break my gauge cluster =/

(if i did break it on accident i could replace with my old 1 in the car =] )

IDK man. Just go around the cluster looking for clips and stuff. Look for screws that look like they hold it together.

yup wasnt pulling the tabs out, got it now. so now just unscrew the 4 screws holding the speedo and replace with the 1 from my car right? and im allset?

he can't type "yep" because it's only 3 letters (minimum post limit by the system is 5 characters)
