probably talking about the "foggy" look...comes from oxidization...my wife's Grand Am has the same problem...I find the best way to deal with this problem...well, let me say, the easiest way...get a drill and the smallest drill bit you have, and drill 2-3 tiny holes in each corner of the headlight...this will allow the area to ventilate the air...and won't allow anymore oxidization...not saying its the right way...but that's how I've done it...Had to do to the 3-4 cars I've had...

I'd be checking with local or state law about removing that amber lens as it's a safety devise required of manufacturers.

it's not hard to do. you have to remove the front bumper first though. once you do that, be sure to disconnect the headlights and then unbolt them from the car. everyone talks about heating up the whole headlight to loosen the adhesive, but this is totally unnecessary. some goold old fashioned patience and gentle prying will work, and you don't have to worry about overcooking your lights. after you separate the headlight, just pop off the amber insert. clean any fingerprints with some alcohol and then put the lense back together. i did this on my 01, and here are the pics:

white cars are just damn sexy...with the exception of the red hondas/acuras....i drool over milano red.

i didn't put an amber bulb in there, i just left the original white ones in there. here in colorado, you don't have to have amber turn signals, just working turn signals. i'd thought about putting amber bulbs in, but the plain white has kinda grown on me.
