Well, today I thought up this awesome and daring plan for my cluster, using LED's. I have red LED's in there now, but its just boring and red, so heres what I was thinking of doing-

Tachometer-
From 1-3K, having Green LED's
From 3-5K , having Yellow
And from 5+, red

Spedometer-
From 0-40, Green
From 40-80, yellow
For extreme speeds of 80+, red... lol

Gas gauge-
Full would be green
Empty would be red

Temp gauge-
Hot would be red
Cold would be blue

Now, I think it would not only be unique, but also pretty cool. However, my friend dubbed my idea as a "gay pride statement" and keeps saying its rediculously stupid. So i was wondering, what do you guys think of this idea? Is it stupid and Ricer and i should just throw myself off a cliff? Or do you think it would be somewhat cool?

Hmm IDK, personally I think that the colors may naturally overlap and it will turn out to be a blend of all three colors. I like the idea, I think that the leds may just bleed over eachother...

 

Yeah thats what I was kind of worried about... But I could allways try to make some dividers between the colors, so instead of like the edges of the colors meshing, it could be completely separated.

 

If you could keep the colors from mixing, I think it would be ****ing awesome...Let us know how it turns out! Or, you could have the tach/speedo/etc light up w/ the individual colors as the values changed.

 

It would be pretty damn nifty, if you can pull it off.
