thats wats up.......how do we go from talking about front bumpers to transmissions?

 

I say take a hack saw to the stock bumper and have some fun with it! I got fiber glass for Christmas and was going to built trunk stuff, but one night I thought "hey, if i cut the bumper and reform it with fiber glass and Bondo..." It has taken such a long time though and I'm not done yet, but it has been a cool learning experience - and it is actually starting to look like I want! If you want some ideas on how I did mine or pics, let me know... I don't want to jack your thread here

 

yea that sounds good i could use some ideas on wat im goin to do

 

I'll get some pictures up later today and show what i did, and if anyone has better ideas they can throw those at you and you should be good to go. Seriously though - if you have a family or a job - this could mean alot of late nights with fumes and sanding...though some people like the fumes

 

well im college right in ohio and i spend most of my time at my friends house working on his volvo s60 and my civic just doin body and engine work. and on my bumper im ordering a new stock bumper and im customizing the old one because i kinda smashed it. the ideas im having is cutting and dropping it 3-4 inches and cutting out vents on the sides of the bumper.

 

Dude, that's what i did... my old onewas starting to look shabby so I cut it up and started with the fiber glass. i also went online to see pictures so i could get some sort of idea what i wanted the final product to look like. I hope mine works out because I don't have money to buy a new one!

 

yea i feel ya on the whole money issue, but the thing im goin for is i want it to beone of a kind not something someone else has.

 

Sorry it took so long - here are the pictures of wherre I'm at right now. Still lots to sand and paint - but i put it back on the car yesterday to see what i will look like - SWEET! Now i just gotta finish... time last week awas taken up by changing all my interior light for blue LED's from oznium!I put them in the air vents, speakers, and cup holders... but back to the bumper - I look forward to seeing yours.
