Default Dash Backlights

Im considering changing the dash backlight on my 98 civic from orange to red, thats all the buttons and gauges. Are they just orange film in front of a white light or orange LEDs or something completely different? How do I go about changing them?

They are just white bulbs with little colored rubber covers on them to change their color. You can just do an LED conversion. Get red LEDs and do the conversion. Its really easy. Might take you three hours if you have never soldered before. Less than one if you know how to solder already. The lights like your seatbelt warning light, SRS light, turn signals and all are just a white bulb with little colored plastic films behind the graphic. You can make sure that they ae by just shining a flash light into the empty hole once you have the bulbs out.

Let me know if you need some help. Just PM me, I just did the LED conversion like three months ago.
