I used the floss to "saw" it off, and goof off to get off the adhesive. It took some patience and a lot of rubbing, but it seems like it would be safer than using your fingernail. 3M mounting tape and a little glue between the tape and the emblems for good measure. They seem to be holding very tight!

Oh! I didnt even notice that you took the connectors off... were you meaning to? I figured it would be less work and look more like they were supposed to look like that... I actually parked my car downtown today and a guy asked what a "Vee" was!

Haha, a Vee...that's awesome. Yeah I decided to cut off the connectors just so I could space them out myself. I think it looked a little cleaner IMO too. I just used an exacto and a file to get them off. I like how yours turned out though, it looks more like it was factory with the connectors.

bks85, Goof Off is an adhesive/tar remover that you can get an pretty much any store that sells cleaning products (Goo Gone will also work). Supermarkets, Kmart, Target, they should all have it. Just keep in mind that if your car is more than a few years old, you're probabaly going to have some different colored paint under the badges. Mines an 01 and I had some, but because it's silver you can't even tell.
