Default did i do something wrong. . .?

i bought some touch up paint today. made sure i got the right paint code. i even double checked it twice before applying it. my paint code is B96P-eternal blue pearl. when i applied the touch up to my rear bumper. . .surprise. the touch up paint is f***ing black! what the hell? now i have a blue bumper with a black scratch instead of white. is there something i'm missing?

Did you shake the paint up prior to applying it? And also one of the best things to do is to test it in a hidden area to check that it absolutely matches before applying it.

dito.... your suposed to shake it up really well and also kinda mix it with the brush in the bottle.... paint seperates. read the instructions on any paint. always says shake well before using.

ok. before i used it the first time i shook the hell out of it, but i didn't stir it. also, i was using the pen. tried again today, shook it real good, stirred it, and then used the brush. very big difference. now it's blue. sorry for the freakout.

the pen tip probably had some seperated paint stuck at the tip... just remember for future reference to run some of the paint out on some paper o rsomething until the color comes out right color and then you can use the pen tip. but i prefer the brush end myself.
