Default do I need to remove the fender?

I have some damage on the driver's door and I want to replace it. Do I need to remove the fender to remove the door? It's a 1999 Civic EX four door.

thanks.

Default Oh, I see...

Ahh, I posted before looking and I do have to remove it. It looks like I have to remove the bumper to remove the fender, then the door. Oh well.

You also need to take off the grill, but it is basically attached to the bumper. You need to remove the headlights and the side skirts, too.

whatttt??? all you have to do to take off a fender is unclip it from the inner liner, then unbolt it. you dont have to take your bumper or headlights off to take off the fender..

Yea, true, but there is a bolt holding the headlight to the fender, should be two bolts behind the side skirt which holds the fender to the car.

supersize, how many times have you taken your front end off? j/w

I bet you could take it off without removing the headlight, but the headlight as a few plastic pieces (at least, OEM units do) that go into the fender. You are less likely to break them by removing the headlight.

I am not sure how you replaced the fender without messing with the two bolts behind the side skirt though.

i got those ones.. i mean if you dont believe me, take a look at my car, it went from regular fender, to smashed up fender, to black fender.. we definatly swaped it, but i never took the headlight off, and all we did was unbolt the one side of the bumper and pull it out some, no need to remove it.

Maybe i am missing something here.

But you dont have to remove the fender or the bumper, all you have to do is open the driver's door, and there are the 6 bolts that hold it up.
