double din cover up

i bought a Pioneer AVIC-D1 double din navi system for my civic, but before i put it in, i wanna know if there is anything that i can put over it so that when im not in the car it will look like there's nothing there..... is that even possible?

You can make an ABS blank to put over the face. Or I have seen stuff like taking the face of the stock radio, making a face panel to go over the aftermarket one that uses the stock radio face. Takes some time to get it just right and you may have to recess the new unit so when the fake is in place it looks stock but that would be really trick.

i would just cut out a piece of carboard the same size as that, put some fabric on with some spray adhisive, and when you leave just put that over the face..it looks nice and neat

..so im guessing its not a removale face?

yeah, my coworker told me the same thing you are suggesting, sound like a plan.... ill look into it!

what about those dash plates that they sell? would that even fit, or are they just for dashes that dont have stereos in them?
