driver side mirror question?
ok so heres the deal. i have a dark green civic 2dr coupe and i need a driver side mirror. my mirrors plastic piece inside the mirror is broken (not the outside casing) . i know of a guy thats parting out a same year 2dr civic but his is black. could i buy the whole mirror off him and just take the plastic picece and mirror off his to replace my broken plastic piece inside the mirror. or would it mess up the padding when i go to take it off the black mirror to get to the screws holding the plastic piece and mirror in place?
its a 2000 civic and no thanks. this guy will let it go for 25 bucks. but its not a power mirror and my car is capable to have power mirrors. but i dont care its just a mirror. im just wondering if i can transfer the guts of 1 mirror to another?
I had a similar problem with my mom's accord (similar not exact). I thought I had to take apart the whole cover/housing and realized I could've just replaced the mirror. It is possible but you have to be very careful doing so.
