Default dual halo lights q

i'm thinking of getting some dual halo lights off of ebay. does anyone have opinions on whether the black or chrome looks better? also, can the cover be removed and the interior housing be painted to match the color of the car? anyone try this?

What color is your car? I prefer chrome in most cases on most cars. As for the cover, it can be removed. You have to heat the silicone with a heat gun...being very careful not to melt or warp the plastic...but it can be done. Still, if you choose chrome...you won't have to do that.

i'm sending it in to the paint shop in the next month or two. i was orignally thinking of going with burnt orange, but i think i'm now settled on the creamy white on the new chrysler 300. i think it might look good if the lights were painted the same white, but i haven't seen it anywhere yet.

Burnt orange...black.
Creamy white...chrome. OR...

Your idea about painting them the same color sounds really good.

i think you should go with like the black style ones if u go creamy white. and put a cf hood and black w/chrome lip rims on there. thats what id do. well, other than that, take in consideration that if u do get the headlights open and paint it, it better be high temp. paint and u better make sure to seal the headlight back REALLY WELL. i think it would look good. i know on the corvettes it does. you drive a civic though...

i'm thinking of the same thing. but my car is factory white (97 ex). should i go black or chrome. i was thinking black because i wanted to paint my hood black, but chrome may be the better choice for a white car. suggestions?

I like your idea of painting them the color of your car. i have the black ones and i am not really a fan of th echrome but all would look well as long as it fits your color scheme.

If you are painting them, get black. The chrome is a plating on the plastic and paint won't stick to it with out sanding it... why start with more work than you need.
