Default Dumb question maybe...

Does my 96 have any kind of lights behind the climate control panel? It's been dark since the day I bought it, and I installed (with velcro) some of the rice-y little blue lights that plug into your lighter socket, but if there is something back there, I'd like to get rid of them and just replace a bulb or wire up an LED

Thanks

Yes, it does have lights behind the HVAC panel. Chances are, the bulbs are probably just burnt out. You can either replace the bulbs or do an LED conversion.

If the LED conversion is something you might be interested in, here's a link to our Gauge/HVAC cluster LED conversion walkthrough. It'll be a little different for your car (the DIY was written up for a 99/00), but it will be essentially the same idea.

Thanks for the info Reaper, I will get on it, looks like it should be a fairly cheap, good looking upgrade.

Mak Gini, I'm not sure what you are refering to
