Fiberglass hood installation

Fiberglass hood installation
Can I take me car to a body shop, with the stock metal hood, and get a new fiberglass hood installed without pins, without having any problems?? What would be the pros and cons to it?? I'd like to avoid the pins due to snow, moisture and salt in my area.

Have you ever seen what happens to a car who's hood flies up when its cruising down the highway? It smashes the windshield frame and will total a honda for sure.
google aerolatches. They're hoodpins that done have any exposed metal. They look much better than regular hoodpins also.
And seriously, don't get a fiberglass hood. Its not worth it. Get a quality carbon fiber hood. It'll look better, weigh less and more than likely comes in better designs. Just my .02

From googling it, the only pro to fiberglass hoods is the weight. Then there's a lot of cons, like hood pins, bad fit, paint cracking, etc.
Just repaint the stock metal hood? You could also get a CF hood and paint it.
