Default Flexable LED strip install

I know theres a few threads about this, but none in detail that I need. Does anyone have any pics, links, or information they can share about how to wire them to a switch. Im new to this, but have a little experience in wiring/electrical. I dont know how to wire them to a switch and have a fuse on the line before the power sorce like ive been told to do. Any help? Im putting the lights under the front dash on both sides and under the back of the front seats so it will light the rear footwell.

That helped out. I understand the switch, but still am a little lost as to wiring to a fuse thats getting power in the car.Isn't there a way to power them other than going directly to the battery? Like through the fuse box under the dash somehow?

ya thru your fuse box..... thiers several male spade terminals that are empty on your fuse box..... with using a female spade terminal onto a inline fuse holder then running the output from the inline fuse holder to your switch then your lights is all ya gotta do..... well besides the ground which is straight forward...

So I can just wrap the red wire around a fuse with power, push it back in, and then ground the black wire under the dash somewhere? Should I buy a line with a fuse in it, or with the fuse the wires wraped around due?

Yeah there's like 2 that have power constant when the car is on, 1 just when the parking lights are on, and I forget about the last one.

To make things easier you could get a screw terminal and run the fuse holder from the fusebox to the screw terminal (it would kind of act like a power splitter to go to many different things). You can also use add a circuit which works really well and is easy, but if you ahve those blank male terminals on the fusebox use the,. Just use a voltmeter to figure out which ones are which. I believe the 2 on the far right are your constant power while ignition is on.

Oh yeah and as far as fuse size, LEDs draw milliamps of power so probably a 3 amp fuse would be more than enough IMO.

Yeah 18 or 16 will be fine. I used them interchangably, you know, whatever I had left at the time, lol.
