i have a 1998 Honda Civic EX and i want to replace the plastic casing around all my ac and heater controls, headunit, hazard button etc...and i was wondering how to take it out so i can re-paint it?? thanks to whoever responds!

 

You have to take the entire thing out, its a major pain in the ***.

 

how do u take it out? and is it the whole dash? all i want is the little plactic cover off

 

you could get a dash cover kit, i've heard some look pretty nice.

 

Not the whole dash but I mean that all of it is one peice, you take the climate control, radio, hazard buttons and stuff is all one thing. First you have to take out the 3 panels under the dash. the one under the steering wheel, the peice that has the dc outlet in it, then the glove box. After you take those out then look under the dash and you can see the screws that hold the entire thing in there. Don't forget to unplug the wires that are connected to it also.
