front headlight replacement

im changing my headlights on my 98 civic ex coupe. do i have to take the bumper off? im not trying to go that route if i dont have too. the whole casing not just bulbs

yes you need to remove the bumper at least for my 99 civic, i assume it's very similar to the 98. there are bolts right by the fender behind the bumper.

even if you didn't HAVE to, it would still be WAYYYY easier and take less time to just remove it. Plus then you know you did evrything right...
