Gauge cluster swap... another question
Hi. Newbie here.
I have searched this board ad nauseum to the answer to this question but cant find an answer.
I am one of the many people who has a 98 DX who would like to put the gauge cluster from an EX in to get a tach (rather than one of those hideous aftermarket tachs
).
My question: Can I take the speedometer out of my current cluster and put it into the EX one? And if so will this get around the mileage issue (ie when one installs a new cluster it changes the mileage on their car)? Is this possible?
Thanks

BUMP!
I want to know as well. I just got a 95 DX and want to figure out a way around the same problem. Also, are there any other gauge clusters that will fit? I heard somewhere that the Integra will fit. True?
Thanks!

you can swap the clusters to one with a tach. it should just plug in and all the wiring is there to work properly. and you can remove the speedo (at least you can on 88-91 hondas) and put it in the new one if it is the same one (becasue the tach cluster might have a different p/n speedo assembly)
sorry i don't have any more info far yall
