I love the look of the Type R lip. The Mugen lip looks really good too. This has been a battle that I've been going through too (till I was givin a PasswordJDM CF lip). I would personally go with the type R lip though. But like posted before... it's all you..

 

Don't forget that the Type-R just looks pretty. The Mugen Style actually provide look and FUNCTIONALITY!!! The Mugen has slots the direct air towards the brakes in order to cool them. I got the Type-R before I knew that the Mugen did anything.

So...
if you want a slick lookin' car: Type-R
if you want a semi-slick lookin' fast brakin' car: Mugen

I didn't know that about the Mugen lip. I guess it is kinda angled...

even though the mugen lip is functional... the type R lip is th Hawtness!

 

for our civics, function isn't really a concern when considering a lip. it's definitely more looks than anything else. additionally, our brakes aren't like those on a porsche... so yeah, they don't get crazy hot lol

 

^ I agree with you, but only if you're talking on the streets. Take any car with stock brakes on a track and drive it hard. I can garuntee the brakes would benefit from anything that would cool them.

Anyway, I say Mugen ftw! I loved mine (till I basically broke it in half... now it's leaning against my bedroom wall lol)... definitely get a poly front though... I learned that the hard way (I had ABS).

 

Mugen...end of discussing. They are the best looking anyway! and plus functionality? Thats a nobrainer
