give me a suggestion on new wheels.
16's can be cheaper, lighter, and can offer a smoother ride. which means they are better for ppl on a tight budget and want more functionality over style...17's are better for show IMO and judging by what warsatan said in his first post, seems like that would be better for him considering he wants a body kit and all that jazz...
black wheels would look sharp. My civic is about the same color, and I have black rims. Go to discount tires. You won't find anything cheaper; the quality is outstanding. You can find a great set of rims on Ebay. I have a set of VSR's on mine, and I paid $400 after shipping. As the tire size...you may want to look at getting 205/40/17....good luck! I have that tire and have zero problems w/ rubbing....
www.gotwheelsandtires.com....i purchased my ICW 002 17" Gunmetal Wheels there.....look amazing and got the wheel and tire set with mounting and balancing for about 700 bucks, i used to like tirerack but they are just to pricey for a college kid like myself.....good luck, post pics when ya get your wheels.....peace
I have 205 40R 17's on my car right now. They look nice, but they're too big. They follow all of the ruts and the car doesn't ride quite as well. I'm going to sell mine and get some 16 inch 5Zigen FN01-RC's... Now those are some sweet sweet wheels. In my opinion anyway. I've been looking at other brands too, including ROTA, but I'm sold on the 5 zigens.
Oh yeah, and my didn't rub before I got it lowered. But it did after I dropped it three inches... The only time it rubs now is when I am doing like a U-turn with the wheels all the way turned. I figured out though that the problem is coming from that plastic lining that's in the wheel well. It's hanging down further than it should, so basically all I have to do is get it screwed back up like it should be and I should be good to go.
For anyone who can answer this, I have a question. When you have the wheels turned, technically the tire should actually hit the edge of the fender if you corner hard enough right? Or is there some kind of stopper on the suspension so it won't compress to the point that the tire collides with the fender?

Your wheel should never hit the fender no matter which way you turn. They are designed large enough to avoid that issue. Also your suspension only has a specific amount of "turn" in it. If you try to exceed that you'll feel it in the wheel immediately (because the suspension has multiple pieces that prevent it).

Do you have any factual info that 16's are better...or do you just like being a *****? Post up if you do, if not get off it.

....Find me some factual info supporting your idea that 17's are better on a civic. There is none, unless its a show car

Also, let's try and keep the conversation civil. Name calling is just immature
