carbon fiber is weak, its not metal lol, its like fiberglass, lightweight.. the latch can break if theres a defect or if you slam the hood down, the latch can crack and eventually bust off.

lol warrenty wouldnt cover it because its the owners fault. you have to be gentle with them lol

carbon fiber itself is actually extremely strong, stronger than metal in fact. the part that is weak is the frame of the hood which IS fiberglass. that is why you might have to worry about the hood flying up. the latch is imbedded in fiberglass NOT the carbon fiber.

the reason carbon fiber is so popular is that it is extremely light weight, but still extremely strong. Many Aircraft, race cars, and high end sports cars use carbon fiber for body panels for this reason.

lol carbon fiber, fiberglass, i knew they werent to supportive... and if you have carbon fiber fenders and hood and bumper and such.. dont expect to survive a front end crash

lol, i guess you can say but i was busy caught up in watching the new south park..yawn time to pass out

and yeah, i can see carbon fiber being a very bad idea if you went all out with your car.

crashes would become lethal.
