Default gsr seats problem

i just bought a '92 civic hatchback and it has GSR interior in it
....but, the seat rails dont line up very well with the mounting holes
so, what would be the best way to fix the problem?
i read on this forum that you can just take the bottom part of a civic seat rail and a top part of an integra seat rail and that would work
i was also thinking of just welding some metal plate onto the existing seat rail in shop class and drilling new holes and then mounting them.

Also, my car doesnt have seat belt recepticle things (the part the the seat blet clips into)
i have them at my house, but i was jsut wonder what would be the best way to mount them??
should i weld them on, bolt them on, or....
and where would be the best place to attach them?? cuz i was thinking on the sides of the e-brake, like, just under it where the floor is

oh, and i want to spend as little money as possible here, seeing how im like, broke now....

any help would be appreciated, thanks

You can do it with a MIG, but if you knwo someone who can TIG get them to do it. I would just weld some bits on like you were talking about. As far as the seatbelts go, weld them on too. Just remember, your a$$ is riding on your welds. Good luck. Post or send me some pics of your welds when you get them done. I would love to see them.

thats what i was thinking with the seatbelts, but how do i go about the carpeting? can i just, say cut it, roll it back, weld in the seat belts, then re-attach the carpeting somehow??

and i personally dont own a MIG welder, they're at my school, and i dont wanna be pulled over for not wearing seatbelts

Yeah, pull out the front seats and whatever trim you have to. then pull back the carpet, prep the area you are gonna be welding on and wweld away. Just remember a clean weld is a strong weld. It needs to be bare metal when you weld it. Just have your instructor help you with it.

thanks for the help.

what i think me and my dad will do is just bolt them into place for now, then once i learn to drive it, i can take it to class and make it permanent

but just one more thing i want to know....there isnt anything important under the hump where the E-brake is....is there? like, fuel lines, wiring, stuff like that
