Default Help with front-bumper removal!

So I am adding a custom upper and lower grill to my 04 Civc. It seemed easy enough. I didn't think I would take long at all.

........
............
...............

Well, the top grill was easy. But I am having problems removing the bumper for the 3-piece bottom grill. I can't get the god damn bumper off. I've removed all of the retaining screws on the top, the two wheel well screws, and now I am working on the retaining screws along the bottom of the bumper. I've managed to get the two along the outside of the bumper, but the 3 in the middle will not come off. I've been trying for an hour now. The screw will turn and turn and turn, but it never recedes from the retaining bracket. Even if I hold the retaining bracket with some needle nose pliers, it still just keeps on turning.

Has anyone had any trouble? I am to the point of just breaking them off. [:@] It seemed so easy....

hmmm... maybe try prying the screws out with a flat-head screwdriver or something while you're turning them with a philips?

Are you having trouble getting all three of them off?

I lost 2 of mine and 1 holds it just fine you could brake off 1 or 2 if you need to, just dont loose the 2 screws on the edges and the ones that go in the wheel wells and you shouldbe fine. Ive never heard of anyone having trouble with those screws before, are they rusted?

They weren't rusted or anything. They are just plastic retaining screws. I just broke all 3 of them off. I will probably stop by the Honda Dealership and get some new ones. I got the grill on though. It looks suuuuuuweeeet. I will post pics up soon.

Care to share how you got that top grill out? I pulled out all of the clips on top, but something seems to be holding it in place about half way down. I need to get the grill out so that I can change my radiator.

Thanks in advance.
