Help problems installing my foglights
I have a 99 si and yes i read the online guide to install the foglights but im still stuck. After i wire the two lights in the front the part where im supposed to connect them to the plug behind the windshield washer i pulled that plug out but it ended up being two identical plugs so i cant plug it in there. Then another part im stuck with is under the dashafter you pull the plug behind the fuse box, i connect a plug there and i have two more plugs to connect that i have no idea where they go ( im not talking about the plug for the on/off switch) Anyone please help ive taken apart my car three days in a row and i still cant figure it out........im gonna keep on trying though
ok a few pics for ya.. those wires are HARD TO FIND!
that wire on mine i had to take loose the cruise control box to get to that wire..

thats the wire under the dash to conect to....
then the next is under the dash....

THAT SHOULD DO YA.... at least for OEM fog light instalation....
the other light harness is easy... just take the understeering wheel cover off and unplug the headlight harness... plug in the oem harness that goes between that conection... and run the relay over and use the longer bolt to secure the included relay....

Thanks for the fast responce but yeah i found those wires.......but for the under the hood one its the same plug on both ends so maybe i got the wrong kit?
And then for under the dash i did find that one plug but i have two more plugs left that i dont know where they go. Heres a picture of those two extra brown wires (the red wire and the white wire)

o sorry cannt help ya thier..... thats not OEM..... sorry...
did it come with any instructions? if so post up some pictures.... but if not id say youll have to cut some wires and wire it yourself...
BUT IF I HAD TO GUESS....... id say white wire on the fuse box on a hot all the time port... and the red on the fuse box just ON with the ignition port....
and that black wire for the ground...
now that white plug type... id asume goes to the switch...
BUT AGAIN... thats just my guess!!!!!!!
use a light tester to probe the fuse box ports and be sure!
but again... im not sure... my OEM SI fog lights was almost all plug and play.. which is what i love abotu OEM
the way my OEM pluged in fron the front was that one plug and a ground wire on the rad suport, then under the dash tape into that wire again, then unpluging the wire harness from the headlight switch under the steering colum and wires came out of it that went to a relay box which was powered and everything from the factory wires, and then ran to the oem switch and a ground wire under the dash.

Ok i guess ill cut the front one under the hood since its only one wire anyway. But where is the plug for the factory lights under thee steering wheel? i think thats the part i cant find. Can you circle it in your picture around which area its in?
Thanks for all your help its making me undeerstand a little bit more

i done told ya what to do or try....
but you got any pics of ALL the wires that came with your aftermarket fog lights?
white wire to fuse box- power all the time...
red wire to fuse box- when the ignition is ON only...
ground wire... where ever on steel...
and that other 1wire conector to that brown conector with blue wire under the dash circled in my picture above...
but i would think if they give conectors to go in the fuse box like that then the conector upfront should simply plug in as well...

Oh yeah sorry i understood that, but i keep on hearing that there is a plug under the steering column that controls the lights. And that supposedly that plug has more plugs (dont know if that made sence) am i making this up? or is there a connector by the steering column? (not the fuse box one)
Heres a picture of the whole set.
The top brown plug is the one that goes in the engine compartment, im gonna have to cut that because it has the same plug on the car.
Then the brown plug right next to the on\off switch is the one that im guessing plugs into the plug behind the fuse box.
The two bottom black things are a fuse and a relay.
But those other two brown connectors in the middle of the page are the ones that have me going crazy. I keep on hearing there is a plug on the steering column but i dont know where its at. If it helps ill take a picture of under my steering colum so someone can point it out?

not with that aftermarket foglight kit.........
only with the OEM fog light kit...
yours should be able to turn ON at any time.....
only downfall i dont like about my OEMs.... but im gonna modifiy the wiring eventualy to turn on with the parking lights instead of headlights.
