do you already have the kit!?

What headlights do you have (1 or 2 bulb)?

Without pics i'd hard to answer your question.

If you have separate bulbs you'll still be able the use your hi beams. If you only have one bulb, you will only be able to use you low beams IF you buy regular HIDs. If you only have one bulbs for hi and low, then you'll need to get bixenon or hi/low HIDs in order to use the hi beams.

He said he has an H4, so that is the stock housing or similar to stock housing, which would only be one bulb.

I don't know. I'm assuming there could be a aftermarket headlight that has H4 bulbs. But, I don't know. I personally have H1 bulbs in both hi and low. The dumb thing is is that my LOW's (HIDs) are brighter than my HI's (regular). So, my HI's are useless.

I can speak for 92-00 civic's as I don't know how many stock lights on other civics are.

Okay, so if you have only one bulb for hi and low on the stock lights. The kit you are looking at won't work.

You need either a regular HID kit or if you want both hi and low, you'll need a Bixenon or hi/low HID kit.
