Default HID - Projector Confusion

Alright, so I've been flipping through the endless HID and projector threads, and I think I understand the concepts of both (HID needs a special kit, Projects use a lense to project light farther), but I'm a little confused as to the application of the two together. I've heard people say that you CAN'T do it, that you CAN do it, or that its not a good idea.

At this point, my plan is to go with the Anzo USA Projectors (01-03), and I'm just trying to gauge the feasability of using an HID kit (6k probabaly) with them. Has anyone used the two together? I've read that people "say" that it can be less light output with the new housings, but I'm trying to find someone thats actually USED them together. I'm just concerned about the issue of blinding oncoming traffic...What adjustment options are there for the housings and bulb for angle? (ballast? how's that work...?)

Thanks in advance! It's going to be a bit before I get the money together for them, but I want to get this cleared up before I make the investment.

Baker

Ya PM thoughs guys. They should be able to help you out.

And yes when you get your housing, there are adjustment ***** so you can turn the beam of light more up or down or side to side. Just like on your stock housing.

My projectors seem to have no up-down adjustment, they just kind of go slightly down and left, or slightly up and right.

When I got them they were all over the place, I managed to get them down to about 18' in front of the car and even on both sides, but they have a funky little beam, its slightly broken at the top, instead of being a flat line as I wanted, and they don't light up crap before that 20' mark, so they probably aren't the best light for the guy that drives alot at night.

They work for me because I have 20-20, and don't drive much at night, lol.. they still look good though, just aren't as vision effective.

I am running halogen Silverstars, which give off a nice led look with the projector, kind of a rainbow reflective look, but white output. They are nice bulbs, I won't ever go back to yellow.

What brand projectors do you have? I've got Silverstars in my stock housings now, and they're incredible bright...Honestly I just hate the look of the stock housings.

I have an ebay version, "Sonar" is the brand. I will take a pic and post it, of the beam pattern I am getting, they have to be taken out of the car physicaly to move the beams, I hate it, but they work. Just not that good at seeing long distances, or lighting up signs and etc..
