Default honda civic si guages

I was wondering, I bought a SI guage cluster and want to install it in my honda civic dx which doesnt have a rpm guage. Will it just plugg in and play? Or will it not work because there is no rpm guage to begin with? [X(]

I think it might be more complicated then just plug n play. Ask the guys in the electronics forum.

if its a 96-00 DX and a 96-00 SI cluster, then it's straight plug n play. No harder than that. You have a tach wire, ths a blue wire with a silver stripe down it behind your eng. temp. gauge, your cluster doesn't have a tach so the signal just doesn't do anything.
